What the law requires of a Luxembourg company.
A commercial company established in Luxembourg keeps its accounts according to the standard chart of accounts (PCN), keeps every supporting document for ten years and files its annual accounts within seven months of the end of the financial year.
On top of this come VAT, declared on the eCDF platform at the frequency set by the Registration Duties, Estates and VAT Authority, and, when the latter requests it, the FAIA audit file.
Knipsy changes none of these rules: it makes sure every paper reaches the right place, at the right time, without retyping.
From the photo to the accounting entry.
Photograph a receipt, drop off a PDF or forward an invoice by email. Knipsy reads the document and shows you what it has understood; you correct if needed, then you validate.
- Date, document number, supplier and VAT number taken from the document.
- Net, VAT and gross amounts, rate by rate, recalculated to the cent.
- Account from the chart of accounts suggested according to the nature of the expense, which you can change.
- Duplicates spotted before an invoice is counted twice.
- At each validation, Knipsy remembers where the date, the total and the VAT are found on this supplier’s documents: the next reading is faster and more reliable.
Bank, sales and payroll in one place.
Accounting is more than purchases. Knipsy reconciles your bank statements with the documents, issues your quotes and sales invoices, and posts payroll to the accounts of the Luxembourg chart.
At any time you can see what has been paid, what is still owed and what must be set aside for VAT.
Returns prepared, never filed in your place.
Knipsy prepares the VAT return and its file for eCDF, keeps the trial balance in the accounts of the standard chart and produces the FAIA file when the administration requests it. It reminds you of every deadline.
Filing remains in your hands or those of your accountant, on the official portal, with your own access.
With your fiduciary, not instead of it.
Your accountant follows your file from their own space: they see readable documents, validate or correct them, then pass them on to their software.
- Exports for IGE-Compta, Sage BOB 50 and WinBooks.
- Direct sending to Horus and Odoo.
- FAIA file, Excel and PDF for any other software.
- Private messaging between you and your firm.
